Yes, you need to get an alignment after installing a lowering kit on your vehicle. Lowering a vehicle changes the suspension geometry which affects alignment angles like camber and toe. Without an alignment you will experience uneven tire wear, premature tire wear, or handling issues.
Repair any suspension issues before the installation. If this step is skipped then the alignment specs will not be within tolerances.
If the vehicle has been in an accident or has frame damage there is a high possibility that you will have issues aligning it.
We strongly advise against scheduling any installation until you have received tracking information for your order. While IHC Suspension works diligently to process and ship orders as quickly as possible, delays or issues caused by shipping carriers are unfortunately out of our control.
IHC Suspension is not responsible for any shop or labor costs incurred due to missed deliveries, delays, or damaged parts upon arrival. We will, of course, replace any damaged items but we cannot reimburse time or labor costs for circumstances beyond our control.
In some cases, shipping carriers may split up a shipment after they leave our warehouse which can result in packages arriving at different times. Please check your email and order status for multiple tracking numbers.
If you only received one tracking number and are still missing items from your order, feel free to contact us right away so we can investigate it for you.
Yes, international shipping costs are calculated automatically at checkout.
If you have any concerns about the international shipping charges, please call our sales team before placing your order.
THIS WILL APPLY TO ALL IHC CONTROL ARMS, BALL JOINTS, BUSHINGS, AND SHACKLES.
IHC Suspension recommends to grease the control arms and ball joints during initial installation. Failure to do so will cause premature wear on ball joints, bushings, and possible noises.
Once suspension has been properly greased at initial installation, recheck all hardware for proper torque values after the first 500 MILES. You will periodically service your suspension every 3,000-5,000 miles or 6-months, whichever comes first.
If you live in an area where there is a lot of snow and salt on the road, IHC Suspension recommends to service suspension every 3 months or 2,500 miles, whichever comes first.
IHC Suspension recommends that all torque procedures be performed at initial installation as per instructions.
Make sure you perform a re-torque after 500 miles and periodically every 6 months or 3,000-5,000 miles, whichever comes first.
Yes, larger wheels and tires can affect your ride quality. The key factor here is your tire sidewall height. The sidewall plays a major role in absorbing the road and directly influences ride comfort.
When you increase wheel size you often lose sidewall height, which leads to a stiffer or less comfortable ride. While upgraded shocks or struts can help improve the feel, they will not fully restore the original ride quality you had with more sidewall.
IHC Suspension designs all its lowering kit based off stock wheels and tires to maintain stock turning radius. IHC Suspension keeps all stock turning radius in place as best as possible.
Aftermarket wheels and tires with different offsets may affect turning radius. IHC Suspension recommends inquiring with a professional suspension/tire shop to discuss your options.
IHC Suspension does not recommend towing/hauling after lowering a pickup truck.
WHY? After lowering a pickup truck, you have between 3 to 5 inches of clearance from the frame to axle.
IF you add weight, it will reduce the suspension travel from frame to axle and cause bottoming out. IHC Suspension recommends installing a helper bag kit.
IHC Suspension recommends not to exceed 7,000 lbs. Keep in mind that tongue weight is much less once towing.
IHC Suspension uses Firestone 9000 air bags and are rated up to 115 PSI.
We recommend to keep 10-20 PSI in the bags for daily driving.
Keep in mind that depending on load the PSI will vary but never to exceed 115 PSI.
Air bags are rated for 1,500 lbs each giving you 3,000 lbs payload together.
IHC Suspension torque specs can be found in the TECH tab under INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS.
