 Q. How often should I grease my suspension?

This applies to all IHC control arms, ball joints, bushings, and shackles.

IHC recommends to grease the  control arms and ball joints during initial installation. Failure to do so will cause premature wear on ball joints, bushings, and possible noises.

Once suspension has been properly greased at initial installation, recheck all hardware for proper torque values after the first 500 MILES. You will periodicaly service your suspension every 3,000-5,000 miles or 6-months, whichever comes first.

If you live in an area where there is a lot of snow and salt on the road, IHC Suspension recommends to service suspension every 3 months or 2,500 miles, whichever comes first.

Q. How often should I torque my suspension?

Applies to all IHC Suspension lowering kits.

IHC Suspension recommends that all torque procedures be performed at initial installation as per instructions. Make sure you perform a re-torque after 500 miles and periodically every 6 months or 3,000-5,000 miles, whichever comes first.

Q. What are my alignment specs?

IHC recommends performing before and after measurement on all truck. If vehicle has height difference from side to side its recommended to perform alignment pre-lowering kit.

Repair any suspension issues before the installation. If this step is skipped alignment specs will not be correct.

Q. Will I have my stock turning radius?

IHC Suspension designs all its lowering kit based off stock wheels and tires to maintain stock turning radius. IHC Suspension keeps all stock turning radius in place as best as possible.

Aftermarket wheels and tires with different offsets may affect turning radius. IHC Suspension recommends inquiring with a professional suspension/tire shop to discuss your options.

Q. How much can I tow after lowering with NO helper bags?

IHC does not recommend towing/hauling after lowering a pickup truck.

WHY? After lowering a pickup truck, you have 3 to 5 inches of clearance from the frame to axle.

IF you add weight, it will reduce the suspension travel from frame to axle and cause bottoming out. IHC Suspension recommends installing a helper bag kit.

Q. How much can I tow after lowering with helper bags

IHC Suspension helper bags are rated for 3,000LBS payload.

Keep in mind that tongue weight is much less once towing. IHC Suspension recommends not to exceed 7K lbs.

Q. How much PSI can I add to my helper bags?

IHC Suspension uses Firestone 9000 air bags. Bags are rated for 115 PSI.

Keep in mind that depending on load the PSI will vary but never to exceed 115 PSI.

Q. What are my bags rated for?

Air bags are rated for 1,500 lbs each giving you 3,000 lbs payload together.

Q. Where can I find my torque specs for installation?

IHC Suspension torque specs can be found in the TECH tab under INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS.
